Wedding Inspiration of the Week x

Hi fairy bugs,
Happy Friday, we hope you've have a fun and eventful weekend planned!
We're a tad loved up here as our grandma and grandad are celebrating their diamond wedding, yes 60years! Wowzers! Weddings back then were very different, there was not the glitz and glam of today. Taking a look through their wedding album the simplicity is stunning, it's almost thrown together to create a "make do and mend" style. Lace was the trim of choice and effortless seaming formed chic dresses.
Baring this in mind we have pulled together imagery from our Pinterest boards showing off a modern, chic twist on this outstanding beautiful simplicity.
Noting the bridal parties dresses they echo the lace feature and clean lines of a wedding back in the day but, are pieced together in newer more current shapes. Remember you don't have to go OTT to create a dream wedding.
The floral poses and button holes are inspired by make do and mend with their freshly pick from a meadow feel. Naive, raw and effortless they speak volumes.
Candles and floral arrangements are a little more extravagant on the tables but this will set your room up for the day. Keeping pieces small, positioned at different levels will create the feel of grandure without the cost.
Notably the cupcakes are following in line and are very delicate. The key here use of the correct nib, coloration and display. Show them off tall and proud to create impact and let the colour blocking do all the talking.
Colours are also key and we have chosen to show navy with ivory as this creates a bold impact. The tones of the colours compliment each other and have just the right contrast to create depth and interest on your special day.
Happy planning xx

Wedding Inspiration of the Week x

Hi fairy bugs,
Happy Friday! This week has flown by........and to be honest a little bit excited about yesterday's snowy attempt.
Are you ready for this weeks inspiration mood board......we're sharing with you a rustic charm perfect for brides to be who love "make do and mend" or even just have a passion for upcycling.
It all started with this beautiful image of a rather rustic looking greenhouse (we say greenhouse but it's on a mass scale) the way the table is centrally positioned with an almost "Walton's" kind of family theme is beautiful. Raw, understated and unique.....it's all about sharing a special day together. From the vintage-esque table cloths to the "freshly picked" floral arrangements there's an innocence that makes the style so special. One detail which brings a really shabby chic, designer touch to this setting is the chandeliers. A sparkly beacon to bring a bit of ooo la la to your day.
Baring this in mind we have pulled together a few more images from our ever growing Pinterest boards to help you see how this style could work for you.
A super way to dress a space like this is by hanging meaningful quotes, cute phrases and imagery from your happiest days together at different points, at different levels, in a mixture of frames and colours.
Let's also not forget about candles and floral attributes. Single stem flowers are pretty and mixing wild specimens offers depth and thought.
Why not allow your guests to create a wishing tree full of love, notes and wedding day statements. All you need is mixed papers, a type writer, mini pegs and a tree of your choice. Bish bash bosh..... Or as we prefer to state bibbidi bobbidi boo.
Happy planning xx

Weddings........it's in the detail x

Hi fairy bugs,
It's mid week, the mornings are getting lighter earlier and wedding season is on it's way! So lots to celebrate and we know for our brides to be there's still lots to do. So if you have a moment, check out the below it may make your day a little less stressful and a little bit more special, (trust us this one is a talking point).
To hopefully inspire you this week we found an image which, sums up a rather fantastic past time, a trending hobby and something to keep not only the groom but all your male guests very happy. Craft beer! It's certainly growing as a trend and there are plenty of smaller breweries popping up across the country who can assist in this task. To be honest this is probably the best gift you could give "the lads".
A place to socialise,  a wedding day pit stop, a way to encourage a good knees up........oh yes folks......a do it yourself bar! If you have someone who is a dab hand with a drill then you could be offering up some rather tasty beverags at a rather awesome beer station. If your from our neck of the woods (Bolton) why not consider "Dunscar brewery" or "Bank top brewery".  Becoming very popular these 2 brands could be supplying you with some of the finest craft beer in the north west! Tempted?
Why not create your own bibbidi bobbidi boo xx
