Hi Fairy bugs,
glad you've caught our "Wedding Inspiration of the Week" on it's brand new day! Oh yes FRIDAY will be the day for our inspiring mood boards, created from our pinterest page.
Todays rather whimsical array of vintage meets afternoon cream teas has a delicate, soft toned colour palette. Frosted peach hues blend with off-whites, and ecrus to form a pretty and feminine feel. Perfect colours for a kaleidoscope of sombre bridesmaids dresses and candy cane accessories for the groomsmen.
Taking inspiration from the wedding cake below soft pastel icing creates a superb base for off white accents and details. Fulfilling a splendid vintage edge with it's own eclectic vibe.
If you are a fan of handicrafts or the home made look, collect a selection of jewels, buttons and old jewellery to form the perfect ornamental bouquet. Definitely one for all our magpie brides out there. Mix the soft natural tones with ant bronze, copper and pearl to produce a real dreamy mix.
One of the details i loved from this weeks pinterest finds is the old door knob table Number. It's quirky, stylish, perfect for a DIY bride and you'll be able to find them cheap as chips at reclamation yards or online! Helpful tip: paint the base then either sand the edges (for a shabby chic edge) or cover with a layer of crackle glaze (for a old heirloom style). Then buy MDF numbers from craft stores and paint gold. Very on trend!
For your centre pieces we're loving the 'freshly picked' approach and the 'mix and match' vases. This is a really important look right now. Another helpful tip is to sit a selection of vases on retro metal trays with tea lights. You'll form a lovely ambience not to mention showing off your enviable fashion taste :)
So go on be creative, inventive and superbly you - it'll shine throughout your special day xx
