Hi fairy bugs,
It's been a short while since we've created an inspiring mood board for you but no fear........ Da - dadada (in a superhero to the rescue sort of jingle)........we have one for you today. So let's kick off the week the right way! Sharing the most exciting imagery from our Pinterest boards we hope to fill you with exciting possibilities for your special day!
This week we're focusing on rose gold, it's been around for a few seasons but set to be a key colour for ss15, so for our fashion savvy brides this one should be right up your street.
Now the best way to showcase this bold metallic is to soften it up with creams, barely there pinks and frosted peaches. Whether opting for a Matt effect or a princess like sparkle you can suitably compliment with a delicate palette.
Our favourite details from the mood board below are certainly the little touches, (they make the biggest difference overall); the pink fizz with metallic rim, the glitzy ribbon added to the cake, the typography on the stationary and coated bottles on the table centrepiece. As a given the little details help enhance your theme and give it the vavavoom needed to create a sublime finish.
If your wondering how to dress into this theme then below shows to really simple yet effective ways. Whether you opt for a sequinned bodice for the bridesmaids, a metallic lace or a single embellishment, understated here will work best. If you are a bride that wants a hint of colour the below image shows a barely there pink with a cream lace and wowzers it's soooooooo pretty. Don't worry if your not into colour, stitching with ivory, cream or off white will look simply stunning too. The slightly warmer tones work beautifully with rose gold, so whatever your taste it can work!
Another beautiful note to add in floral elements is bringing in cream flowers in larger forms such as hydrangeas, peonies and roses........they help soften the overall look creating a dreamy splendour!
If you are one for the ultimate glitz and glam you could even add a full glitter table cover to the top table and cake table! They are new feature in the wedding world and pack a punch when showcased. In fact if you look closely at the cake image below you'll see one peeking through. Now there's a thought.
Happy planning xx
