It's Monday the sun is shining, the birds are tweeting and wedding season is in full swing with exciting new ideas and inspiration popping up all around us!
This week we've focused on all things with a slightly french twist on shabby chic, bringing in delicate grey tones for that powdery elegant finish. Not normally associated with a wedding highlight colour you'll be seeing a lot more of it. Blending with barely there pinks, soft peach, frosted mint or muted lilac will bring the vavavoom to your wedding day concept. We've opted for the muted lilac to sit back with the grey and off white........ahhhhhhhhhhh (pleasantly content sigh).
TBH the best way to showcase it is by dressing the bridesmaids in flowing chiffons, fluid satins or bias cut styles. The draping will add another level of sophistication to your bridal party's ensemble. If your a bride who adores the striking optic white option then this palette will be perfect for you. The dainty offs white sat back with powdery greys is extremely pleasing to the eye. Next time your all trying on give it a whirl! You'll be surprised how chic it looks. Don't forget a bit of sparkle too.........delicate beadwork will bring a divine edge to the whole look.......it's Bibbidi bobbidi boo :)
In terms of accessories we absolutely love the delicate rustic button holes with their raw cut twine and hessian wraps. Super cute! And you could always add these little details to your stationary for continuity.
We also adore the glitter topped macaroons and carved pebbles as extras..... The pebbles would look super on outside tables or along pathways.
Not forgetting the floral notes how gorgeous are they! Soft hydrangeas with natural foliage. We love how they stand tall in their clear glass vases! They are so effective and really set the seen for the theme. If you mix the hydrangeas and foliage together then wrap them in hessian, weellllllllaaahhh, your bouquet is born.
