Hi fairy bugs,
It's time for a little more Bibbidi bobbidi boo........with a blue hue for you! Yes we're rhyming and it's cheesy but who can blame us with a sunny weekend ahead! We're too excited for words! If your getting married this weekend make sure your guests pop a good factor on......they'll need it :)
Now we now we've brought blue hues to you previously but today's idea is a little different. Soft, powdery, slightly grey in tone but perfectly pretty for those spring/summer weddings, offering up a more delicate, whimsical feel. Teaming this pastel shade with creams, white, almost there olives and barely nude picks offers a delicate, relaxing, sophisticated edge.
In fact if you make do and mend, are having a wedding in a quaint village or love quaint chic why not consider this as a colour palette? A move on from the candy pastels, there's certainly a more grown up appeal here.
The dressing of the wedding party is a fun time and there's still a love for all bridesmaids to wear the same colour.......slightly different styling would add a fresher approach. You can do this by rank, age or shape, the results......magnifique! Not forgetting the groomsmen, shimmering greys will set the aged pastels nicely. We're loving the eclectic mix of flowers and colours for the pins. They echoe the bouquet beautifully. A helpful hint....... If your not a florist (as most of us aren't) then find images you love with flowers you adore and share them with your florist for them to create the perfect floral accents. You can always see mock ups first!
Let's talk cake...........yummy. There's a lot of ombré cakes sneaking through the season and to be honest.........we're in love with them! Especially when the inside has a colourful tint. Not only do they look tre chic they are gorgeous when cut too! If you supply little clear cake boxes for your guests to save for later, they will be a little box of happiness showcasing their stylistic details when your guests choose to devour them. Another little hint is having an essence of a slightly more unusual flavour in your cake.i.e rose water. Your guests won't be expecting it, but will love it all the same.
With a Devine palette and wardrobe all set keeping the stationary clean, colour blocked with slightly rustic font will work a treat in complimenting your theme. Try a few and see what tickles your fancy.......mock ups are a great way to achieve perfection.
With that in mind we'll let you plan away.....let your imagination be free. If your unsure of any of your ideas create your very own mood board and see your ideas flourish. Happy planning xx
