Wedding ideas x

Hi fairy bugs,
Nice to see you to see you nice!  We've got another little treat for you, a novelty idea which we hope you love as much as us! You may have noticed we are big fans of anything sweet and tasty, and it's a known fact that guests get giddy when they see yummy delights on offer. Bringing out a child like hysteria with a large topping of mmmmmmmmmmmmm's.
Baring this in mind it's always good to offer extras that look super special, whether glazed, sprinkled or frosted............(any clues yet on what we're excited to show you).............donuts!!!
Making a rather massive comeback on the trending stakes these beauties would be a winner at any wedding. Creatively decorated you could display them on a cake stand showcasing them with maximum impact or simply sit them in printed paper bags, (ensuring they're peeping out), very retro chic!
Mix the flavours, fillings, colours and decoration.........OMG we'd love a try full now! Right oh we're off to make some............

Wedding Inspiration x

Hi fairy bugs,
It's been a short while since we've created an inspiring mood board for you but no fear........ Da - dadada (in a superhero to the rescue sort of jingle)........we have one for you today. So let's kick off the week the right way! Sharing the most exciting imagery from our Pinterest boards we hope to fill you with exciting possibilities for your special day!
This week we're focusing on rose gold, it's been around for a few seasons but set to be a key colour for ss15, so for our fashion savvy brides this one should be right up your street.
Now the best way to showcase this bold metallic is to soften it up with creams, barely there pinks and frosted peaches. Whether opting for a Matt effect or a princess like sparkle you can suitably compliment with a delicate palette.
Our favourite details from the mood board below are certainly the little touches, (they make the biggest difference overall); the pink fizz with metallic rim, the glitzy ribbon added to the cake, the typography on the stationary and coated bottles on the table centrepiece. As a given the little details help enhance your theme and give it the vavavoom needed to create a sublime finish.
If your wondering how to dress into this theme then below shows to really simple yet effective ways. Whether you opt for a sequinned bodice for the bridesmaids, a metallic lace or a single embellishment, understated here will work best. If you are a bride that wants a hint of colour the below image shows a barely there pink with a cream lace and wowzers it's soooooooo pretty. Don't worry if your not into colour, stitching with ivory, cream or off white will look simply stunning too. The slightly warmer tones work beautifully with rose gold, so whatever your taste it can work!
Another beautiful note to add in floral elements is bringing in cream flowers in larger forms such as hydrangeas, peonies and roses........they help soften the overall look creating a dreamy splendour!
If you are one for the ultimate glitz and glam you could even add a full glitter table cover to the top table and cake table! They are new feature in the wedding world and pack a punch when showcased. In fact if you look closely at the cake image below you'll see one peeking through. Now there's a thought.

Wedding ideas x

Hi fairy bugs,
We're in the midst of summer, weddings are frequent, which means new ideas and inspiration for you! As your fairy godmother we aim to bring you fun, novelty ideas to make your day even more special and trims to wow your guests.
Today's idea touches on a craze which has been around for a while ............but not in mini form! Are you in love with organic, healthy options? Is healthy eating and drinking crucial to you? Then how about sharing your lifestyle with your guests on your wedding in the form of mini smoothies! Eeeekkkk yep colourful, cute, novelty smoothies. You can pick your favourites and share them with your guests. These chilled little lovelies will be a welcome refreshment especially as we're experiencing a scorching summer!
We've pulled a few of our favourite images from our Pinterest boards to inspire you! The colour mix looks eclectic and interesting and we love the sugar trimmed rims of the glasses........uber chic. Depending on the size of your glasses your could offer fun patterned straws or even spoons and napkins. Your guests will feel like their being spoilt rotten, but in the healthiest way possible!
Displaying them on a tiered stand is a great way to make a focal point......also don't forget quirky signage so your family and friends know what's on offer!

Wedding inspiration x

Hi fairy bugs,
Summer is upon us and the weather is glorious! Just how we like it. Here's a little last minute idea which, will allow you to collate all of your wedding day imagery from all of your guests. The best bit.........Everyone will be able to see the photos and you'll probably find a bit of a frenzy once people realise what to do.
So let's spill..........Instagram feeds are great and by creating a hashtag all images collect together. You may even trend if your guests add enough images. How great would that be!
Below we found a couple of ideas on how to get your guests snapping and sharing. A little board with quirky text not only looks quirky but will ensure all your guests hashtag the same title. You could even add a little note on your tables or on the favours with a how too for those who are also known as technophobes. A little help and all that......
Or if your super creative why not create a corner encompassing a scene or a box of props for more interesting photos. You could even have little signs to hold up, funny quirky notes from them to you. An alternative is chalk and chalkboard......let your guests do the talking :)
Happy planning xx
