Wedding Inspiration - DIY Bride x

Hi Fairy Bugs! Hope all is well with our Brides to be :)
I had a lovely little invite to a store opening today. Home Sense has now opened in Manchester Arndale and is a super spacious store full of perfect pieces for our DIY brides. You'll find the store on the ground floor, inside the Arndale next to TKmaxx. If your going this weekend make sure it's on your must visit list.

All shiny and new :)

I really wanted to visit the store to find items perfect for our DIY brides who want to perfect their day themselves and are trying to stick to a budget! There really are some perfect pieces at great prices which you could certainly use to dress your wedding. Take a peek at the items below they are great finds for your tables, outside decorations and table plans!

The first exciting find was this lovely selection of white rococo frames. These little beauties would be perfect for adding your table numbers or names inside then perching them next to your centre piece! You could also attach them to a large board, and position inside a larger frame for your table plan. Not only will your guests be impressed but after the wedding you could fill them with wedding photos and give them to your family as gifts ;)

I love storage! especially the printed shabby chic kind. There was 2 whole isles of them. Needless to say i was in my element. These would be great for a number of reasons:
1) make a stack in the centre of the table, open the top box, add floral oasis & attach flowers into the oasis
2) use them as post boxes for your wedding cards
3) keeping the stack idea attach your table plan to the boxes with pegs on string. Why not incorporate flowers or ivy to give a super impact.

If you love flowers and really want floral centre pieces there is a huge range of vases. Little to large! You could have 1 show stopping piece in the centre or a collection of smaller mix and match shapes with single stems in. Great if your opting for vintage chic.

Now if your looking to dress a garden or decking space. You could choose giant candles they will look super gorgeous at dusk to night. Also if there is a path why not add metal rods with hanging lanterns and candles. Take a peek at these!

Below are a few other items which, would be super to dress up for centre pieces or just as room decorations. There is so much instore it is a must next time your visiting manchester city centre!

Also lets not forget the special guest who came along to help open the store. Corrie's 1 and only Anthony Cotton who was thrilled to attend and was an absolute gem x

Wedding Inspiration of the Week x

Hi Fairy bugs, i must say these lovely sunny evenings are going down a treat! Let's hope for a sunny summer! Thinking about sunny summers, had me pondering about colour, pops of colour to be precise. I know that a lot of people choose pretty pastels of more sombre tones but why not opt for full on colour?! Show stopping, eye catching, summer is here colour! I have picked a few pins from my pinterest boards to inspire you on how to add multicolour in a stunning way. Whether it's flowers, the cake or the bridesmaids you can have colour pop for your special day.

The first photo shows the stunning bride with her rainbow of bridesmaids. This is a lovely way to add colour. Fun, simple dress with bold floral bouquets. If you would prefer the dresses to be less vibrant how about colourful shoes? (This photo came from aimee law)

Next are ideas for your bouquet and the cake. SO pretty and simple yet the colours make them super interesting and stylish. A lovely mix of flowers give the colour pop a delightful revival. Rather than using the statement gerberas or sunflowers - mix it up. If your going full on colour, be brave, you won't regret it and you'll definitely have a wedding that oozes summer even if the weather doesn't! (images from wedded bliss and ace palm springs)

Hey hey Fairy bugs! Hope your all having a lovely week even with the shoddy weather we seem to be having. Don't let that spoil your Wedding Mojo though as we have some lovely Inspiration for you to toot at.
I was happily browsing all my collated images for this weeks post and i had to share this beautiful Temperley dress with you! This effortless dress is definitely a winner and highlights some of the seasons key trends for Brides. Low cut backs, draping fabric, everything that screams effortless chic. If we have any Brides getting married abroad this style would be super for those hotter temperatures. Plus you would have a good chance to show off your tan! If your wedding dress shopping this weekend why not keep your eyes peeled for something similar and give it a whirl :)
Loving the effortless chic theme take a look below at the room setting i spotted on 'bellethemagazine'. All those shades of white with soft oatmeal elude style and utter gorgeousness that would be a super way for your wedding to stand out from the crowd. Colour is an obvious choice but tones of white is bang on trend, and with images like the below to inspire you, you could certainly show off this look. What a day! Where did the sun go?! Ah well lets talk wedding to cheer ourselves up.
Today we are talking big, bold and beautiful! Oh yes Fairy bugs. I know that people sometimes see this as tacky but lets take inspiration from the designers on how to make it truly gorgeous!
For most brides their Wedding day is about making a statement and having the princess gown they have always dreamed of. Well why shouldn't you! You could take inspiration from the Carolina Herrera gown below, go big and bold but with delicate lace and simple lines. There is still plenty of va va voom here but it looks soft and dreamy! As previously mentioned there is a fabulous choice of lace dresses out there at the moment, but if you haven't found the wow dress with lace details why not add them? A subtle waistband, motifs, lace trimmed veil? You can still be a fashion forward bride in the fairytale gown just accessorise :)
Speaking of accessories the princess gown would most definitely need the jaw dropping, ambience filled centre pieces. Take a look below at the flowers seen at bellethemagazine. Full of tonal colours, perfectly mixed flowers but with a classy crystal vase. Wowzers! Your guests will be talking about how your big, bold, beautiful wedding was show stompingly stunning x

High street buy of the Week x

Hello Fairy Bugs, what an amazing bank holiday! Great weather the past couple of days and it got me thinking. What would be a beautiful accessory for a glorious sunny Wedding day? Well let me share this weeks 'Must have' with you.
I came across 'Brollies Galore' a short while ago as i was looking for a delightful parasol for my own wedding. I loved the thought of a parasol not only because its a great fashion accessory but because my sister can't be in the sun too long and would be super to protect her.
The 'Abigail' parasol is gorgeous with a delicate pattern crafted out of cotton lace and embroidery. Take a peek below it really is stunning, and an absolute steal at £29.99. With programmes like Downton abbey trending, this really is the Must have item for your very own piece of Period glamour.

Wedding Inspiration x

Hello Fairy bugs - what a sunny morning! It's lovely so lovely in fact i had the music blasting out of the car on the way to work with my biggest bestest shades on (too cool).
It inspired me to show a more fresh, delicate almost (dare i say it) summer theme. There are many ways you can taylor your wedding to be truly summer themed, as are there many ways in which you can add those vintage hints without going all out vintage. The trick is in the details!! No really little touches here and there make your wedding stand out and will really strike a chord with your guests.
For instance if you are having a church wedding and need to dress the pews a bit of fabric and ribbon wrapped and ties with a few delicate flowers are so eye catching, when really its quick and easy, while cutting the floral costs down!
If you love vintage washed out colours and soft tones why not opt for a light duck egg or faded mint. This will emphasis a vintage feel without too much expense on the accessories! Plus they look super summery, fresh and yummy :)
Now For the bride......there is so much lace around that you will be spoilt for choice if you want a dress which, looks vintage, ooooozes style and screams OMG she's looks stunning. The trick is to take inspiration from the designers. Check out the heart stopping Monique Lhullier dress below. One of the gorgeous details of the dress is the soft lace work on the shoulders. This is a super feature to look for or even have added to a strapless dress. This will definitely be a characteristic other brides may not have cottoned onto yet! be the first. Another stunning trend is cut out backs! Keep your eyes peeled they are too hot to trot x
