This week is a lovely quiet week after the busy baby shower event of the weekend. I must say they're lots of fun, and a great way to celebrate with mummy to be!
Well folks lets talk shop. Wedding Inspiration of the Week, yes we're at that point in the week again were i love to share with you some of the imagery on our pinterest boards. They're fun, colourful and hopefully a helpful tool for you in the Wedding planning process. So lets get cracking......
I have to say there is a lovely revival of everything purple. There are so many levels of purple but luckily they are all rather key and mixing different tones is more on trend than one particular hue.
Flowers are an obvious choice to showcase this rich, jewel like trend. The flowers in the image below are a real statement feature with their colours echoed in the table cloth. They look expensive, opulent, and ooze style. They look well thought out and are super no matter what our quirky British weather is doing! (image from pinterest)
The next image is a great mood board showing purple as a splendid core colour in many forms. Bouquets to table arrangements, button holes to cakes, shoes to dress, etc. A lovely detail to note here is how the pinky purples are mixed with the blue purple hues. They are all rather deep tones but depict a rather royal taste. All you would need are the Beckhams thrones and you'll have a right Royal day :)

If you feel all those berry tones are a little full on why not include whites and creams to soften the look. Why not have pops of green foliage for a more natural display. I adore the lavender, white, aubergine mix in the bouquet below. The stark contrast between the colours is creative. your guests will be ever so impressed with the selection. Now for the most exciting and important part. The dresses!! EEkkkkkkk. Look how stunningly beautiful the candy lilac dresses look against the crisp white bridal gown, complimented by the array of purple tones in the floral arrangements. If you don't want to be so bold in the colour choice you could always go for calf length dresses with berry tones shoes and flowers. Or why not divide the bridesmaids in different colours depending on their status i.e flower girl, chief bridesmaid, younger bridesmaids, using deeper tones for the older girls and lighter for the younger, even opting for white/ivory for the flower girls with a purple sash. The ideas are endless xx
