Wedding Inspiration of the Week x

Hi fairy bugs,
Welcome to this weeks "Wedding inspiration of the week". We're embracing spring, new blooms and longer brighter days. Lemon is the hue of choice. Happy, lifting, fresh, it makes a room glow and people smile. Who wouldn't love a colour with such a positive impact!
There aren't many colours that symbol a season and time of year, quite as well as yellow. In it's brighter tones it's positive, warming and powerful while in its lighter shades it echos new starts, new season and calm energy. In a nut shell it's a splendid choice for a spring/summer, typically English wedding.
Florals elements are best delicate but full of impact. Mixing baby's breath with roses is a simple pocket friendly option which, creates a pretty, full and vintage-esque bouquet. Using the same flowers as centre pieces but composing them with old vintage tins, teapots or bucks will add depth and style. Button holes could simple with a single lemon stem, but complete he outfit with a colour tie, waistcoat or shirt.
When we saw the cake below we fell in love. Stylish, colour blocked and effective the stencil detail is a great way to break up the block of yellow but add a pattern, which could sit back back with bridesmaids dresses or stationary.
Have you thought about stationary using an eclectic mix of patterned paper and fabrics will show your theme at its best while showcasing your impeccable taste. Check out the image below. Mixed tones, mixed print and mixed sizes creates a delightful piece of post. Then intro orate het patterns throughout your day, favours, seating plans, name cards, fun signage........the options are endless.
Not forgetting the fun element and icon of the yellow world.....the lemon. We loved the bucket full of lemons with the wedding sign.........why not use lemons to bring a fun element to your tables, name card holders or simply use slices in a vase of flowers.
Happy wedding planning xx
